Over fifteen years ago, Matt Workman started tinkering around in the field of construction while attending college. He was trained in the ways of quality construction by a third-generation carpenter. It was then that this job became a passion. In 2000, after receiving a degree in Construction Management and a general contractor’s license, Matt started The Workman Company, Inc. Since its humble beginnings as a one-man crew, our values at The Workman Company have remained the same—to build a quality product at a fair value while providing personalized service to our customers.
Our team members continue improve their skills through education classes offered through local conferences and seminars. This helps us keep abreast of all the latest and greatest building technologies and management practices so we can always offer the best built product available in Utah Valley. When necessary, change orders will outline changes and associated expenses eliminating surprises at the end of the project. Customers will be kept current on progress through emails, phone calls and site visits.
Keeping our projects moving along. We will do as much of the planning before we begin each project as possible. We have a specialized method of organization to guide customers in designing their floor plan, choosing their product, scheduling subcontractors, and maintaining quality control to complete projects quickly and with high quality.

Taking care of the details. We obtain all necessary permits. We will maintain the legal requirement for licensing and insurance and make sure that all our trade contractor team members do the same.
